National Continued Competency Requirements are revised every 4 years, based upon practice surveys and changes in medical theory and practice. The topic revision embraces the tenets of evidence-based medicine. Hours requirements for National topics are:
- Medic: 30 hours (all may be live OR distributive education)
- AEMT: 25 hours (all may be live OR distributive education)
- EMT: 20 hours (all may be live OR distributive education)
